I GOT MARRIED!

Lessons I Learned About Photographing Weddings When I Got Married Myself πŸ’πŸ“Έβœ¨

Love truly is a mesmerising thing, and as a wedding photographer, I am blessed to witness that magic in action with each wedding I photograph. But when I got married myself, I experienced that enchantment in a whole new light. My wedding week (yes, week!) was a dream come true, filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments that I will treasure forever. Here are some of the alluring lessons I learned about photographing weddings that have helped me capture the magic for my beloved clients:

✨ First and foremost, as your photographer, my goal is to make your special day as captivating and stress-free as possible. I understand that weddings can be overwhelming, so I make it a point to be as unobtrusive as possible and not ask too many questions. Instead, I focus on getting to know your wishes and planning the most important details ahead, so that on the wedding day, we can dwell in a comfortable and familiar atmosphere where you can simply be yourself and let the enchantment of your love story unfold.

✨ As a recent bride myself, I know firsthand how nerve-wracking it can be to have all eyes on you on your wedding day. But I also learned that authenticity is the key to capturing truly magical moments. When I stopped worrying about how I looked and instead focused on feeling deeply and being true to myself, my soul shone brightly and the energy radiated through the pictures. Even when I later had some moments of self-criticism, the raw beauty of my authentic self still shone through. As your photographer, I want to capture that same raw, authentic beauty in you and your partner, so that you can look back on your wedding photos with pride and joy.

✨ Every wedding is a unique masterpiece, crafted with love and care by the couple and their loved ones. When I got married, a lot of effort went into making the elements that made it all come together: from my self-sewn and hand-embroidered dress to the raw vegan cakes to the wild waterlily bouquet that my friends swam to collect on the morning of the wedding. The love and care that went into every detail of my wedding was evident in the photos, and they remain some of my most treasured possessions. As your photographer, I understand the importance of capturing all of the intricate and meaningful details of your wedding day. From the smallest flower in your bouquet to the grandest gestures of love, I am committed to capturing it all, so that you can relive the magic of your wedding day for years to come.

My wedding pictures were taken by my sister and talented Beloved team photographer Gabriela August, and dear friend Alexander Rulkens. I am forever grateful for these cherished memories and it is my greatest joy to provide you with the same love and care that was given to me on my special day. Let's create magic together! ✨
